Thanksgiving Cleanup!

“Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever!” Psalm 136:1

So the conversation started with the painful statement, “Mom, with this new job, I don’t think I’m going to be able to make it home for Thanksgiving!”

As my children have evolved into adulthood, I have been forced to become accustomed to change. Those treasured family memories of everyone always being together have become more sporadic due to employment, relocations, and marriage. However, this would be the first Thanksgiving without our youngest in attendance!

11th Annual St. Matthew Turkey Trot

"Whatever you do for the least of these, you do unto Me." Matthew 25:18

For many years, St. Matthew Lutheran Church has supported MOST Ministries, a non-profit Christian agency that sponsors short-term mission trips across the world by sending funds as well as volunteers. My middle son is a travel nurse, which means that every 12 weeks, he travels around the country to a new hospital assignment. A Home Run Season

As many of us caught and experienced "Olympic Fever" this past summer, Michigan's "Taylor North Little League Team" provided the residents of Michigan with additional excitement and pride as the team captured the title of “Little League World Series Champions” on August 29, 2021. This baseball team, comprised of 11 and 12 year olds, is only the second team from Michigan to win this championship, with Michigan's first title won sixty-two years ago in 1959.
